The Genesis: A Tale of Family and Code

In the first week of April 2024, as the spring winds swept across the land, a father and son embarked on a quest as epic as any ancient Egyptian adventure.

While the matriarch and eldest son of the Cyger clan journeyed to the distant realm of the Midwest on a college pilgrimage, Michael and his 13-year-old son found themselves guardians of the homestead, accompanied only by their loyal canine companion.

Seeking to forge bonds stronger than the stones of the Great Pyramid, Michael proposed a challenge worthy of the greatest pharaohs: the “Cyger Hackathon Week.”

Father and son would each craft a digital monument, racing against the sands of time to launch their creations to the world.

And lo, from this crucible of creativity, Pyramid Solitaire was born!

Building the Monument: Code as Stone

Like the ancient architects of old, Michael toiled day and night to construct his digital pyramid.

Armed with the mystical powers of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, he pieced together his creation like a 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle.

(Non-coding friends may raise an eyebrow, but fellow devs will nod sagely, understanding the satisfaction of seeing one’s code come to life.)

Of course, no great work is completed without proper sustenance and entertainment. The construction of Pyramid Solitaire was fueled by:

  • Binge-watching sessions of “The Office” (because even pharaohs need a good laugh)
  • Invigorating matches on the local pickleball courts (cardio is important when building pyramids)
  • Father-son feasts filled with tales of coding triumphs and tribulations

The Unveiling: Hackathon to Sensation

As the final stone was laid (or rather, the final line of code was written), Michael unleashed his creation upon the world via ProductHunt.com.

Like a flood of the Nile, players rushed to experience this new digital wonder. Thousands flocked daily to test their skills, with the average play time rivaling that of a mummification ceremony (okay, it was 7 minutes, but that’s pretty impressive in internet time).

The people spoke, and their verdict was clear: Pyramid Solitaire was both as addictive as Cleopatra’s charms and as casually enjoyable as a cruise down the Nile.

Assembling Pyramid Builders

Emboldened by this success, Michael sought to elevate Pyramid Solitaire to new heights.

He assembled a team of skilled artisans, each bringing their unique talents to the project.

They are listed in honor at the top of this page.
