Pyramid Solitaire Rules and Gameplay
Before you start your quest to conquer the card pyramid, let’s equip you with the knowledge you’ll need for your journey.
Here’s a clear guide to the rules and gameplay:
Objective
Your goal is simple: remove all 28 cards from the pyramid. You do this by pairing cards that add up to 13.
Card Values
Each card has a specific value:
- Ace = 1
- Number cards (2-10) = Face value
- Jack = 11
- Queen = 12
- King = 13
How to Remove Cards
To remove cards from the pyramid:
- Pair any two exposed cards that add up to 13
- Kings can be removed on their own (they’re already 13)
- You can use cards from the pyramid or the top card of the waste pile
Gameplay Steps
- Look for pairs of exposed cards in the pyramid that add up to 13 and remove them
- If no pairs are available, draw a card from the stock pile to the waste pile
- Use the top card of the waste pile to pair with pyramid cards if possible
- Continue until you clear the pyramid or run out of moves
Stock and Waste Piles
- The stock pile is the face-down pile you draw from
- The waste pile is where drawn cards go face-up
- You can go through the stock pile three times
Winning and Losing
- You win if you remove all cards from the pyramid
- You lose if you can’t remove all cards after going through the stock pile three times
Now that you’re armed with this knowledge, you’re ready to face the pyramid!
Remember, practice makes perfect. The more you play, the better you’ll get at spotting those crucial pairs.
Good luck, and may the cards be ever in your favor!
